The School and the Girls' Day School Trust

Map of cities with GDST schools

Oxford High School is a member of the GDST, a group of 29 independent schools throughout England and Wales of which 12 are in and around London, with over 20,000 pupils and 3,500 staff. It is the largest group of independent schools in the UK, currently educating 9% of all girls in the fee-paying sector. Unusually, OHS provides for boys aged 3-7years. Most importantly, the Trust is proud to provide access to its schools for able students by making bursaries available to whose families who might not be able to afford the education without financial help, thus actively promoting a policy of social inclusion and equal opportunity. The fees of Trust schools compare very favourably with other independent schools especially since they cover the costs of examinations, careers testing, most materials and text books, as well as personal accident insurance. GDST examination results are frequently amongst the best in the independent sector and out perform the maintained sector, whilst 99% of Sixth Formers go on some form of higher education.
