GDST Hockey Success

Congratulations to the 1st XI Hockey Squad captained by Beth Warne (13G) who won the GDST Hockey Rally held at Milton Keynes Hockey Club on Thursday 13th October.

The side lost their first group game against Central Newcastle 0-1 but were then undefeated for the rest of the tournament and played some very impressive hockey.

The squad won on penalty-flicks in the quarter-finals through a fine save by goalkeeperLucy McIvor (13G) and had an excellent 1-0 win in the semi-final against Howells which meant that Oxford High School faced the impressive Newcastle side again in the final which they won convincingly with Tilly Vaughan-Fowler (12H) on hand to score the winning goal.
